The Angola Parks & Recreation, Land of Lakes Running Club, and Legends Running Shop hosted the annual Monument City Classic 10K on Saturday.

The Monument City Classic women’s overall champ was Ashley Case, while Izaiah Steury was the overall male champ.

Award plaques were given to the top 3 finishers in each age & gender group.

Proceeds from this event benefited "No Alley Left Behind".

If you missed the Monument City Classic, another area race will be coming up on Saturday, July 27th in Steuben County. Donovan Houser with Legends Running Shop says they are organizing the annual Orland Vermont Settlement 5K Run and 2M Walk.

The proceeds of many of these local races benefit a local non-profit that has a need or a connection to the race location.
