An area lawmaker has retained his leadership position in the Michigan House of Representatives.
Erick Leutheuser, who was re-elected last week to a final term to serve the 58th District will once again serve as the Majority Caucus Chair for the 2019 session after a vote was held Thursday by members of the Michigan House of Representatives.
In the role of Majority Caucus Chair, the Hillsdale Republican will be responsible for helping to develop policy priorities and also preside over meetings of House Republicans.
In addition, Leutheuser serves as the Chairman of the House Commerce and Trade Committee. He is also a member of the Workforce And Talent Development, Regulatory Reform and Financial Liability Reform Committees.
Leutheuser defeated Tamara Barnes in last week's General Election to represent the 58th Michigan House District, which includes Branch and Hillsdale Counties.
