Angola High School’s Concert Band and a wind ensemble will perform in a free concert Sunday afternoon beginning at 2 p.m.. According to director Andrew Keiser, this is the first year that AHS has had two bands in the spring semester. In April, both bands performed at Purdue University Fort Wayne as well as the Indiana State School Music Association Organizational Contest with both bands receiving a gold rating.
For Sunday’s concert they will be performing music from Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story” as this year would be Bernstein’s 100th birthday, both bands will be playing musical tribute to him.
