Panic ensued on Wednesday along State Route 8 in Auburn when a semi rolled over as it was carrying over 90,000 pounds of steel coil. The driver of the rig told police that he became distracted as he believed another vehicle was attempting to pass him, causing the rig to drift off the roadway. The semi went into the ditch and then rolled on its side.

The driver, 29-year-old Nathaniel Wells of Paulding, Ohio who was trapped inside the cab was extricated by Auburn firefighters and was taken to a local hospital with pain in his back.
