AUBURN - An Auburn man has been arrested in connection with the death of a young woman.
The DeKalb County Prosecutor's office stated Matthew Urzua, 22, is facing charges for his involvement in the incident.
In the early hours of Saturday, March 30 Auburn City Police Officers responded to the area of 900 Griswold Court for a welfare check.
Upon arrival officers found a young woman deceased.
Officers arrested Urzua for his involvement in this incident, and is
currently being held on a preliminary charge of murder.
The age and name of the victim has not yet been disclosed by authorities.
No other individuals are believed to be involved at this time
The DeKalb County Prosecutor's office stated they are working with officials from the Indiana State Police, the Auburn Police Department, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, the DeKalb County Coroner’s Office, and the Parkview Police Department.
The investigation is still ongoing and evidence is still being collected by
law enforcement.
