Multiple Steuben County Emergency crews and other agencies have been preparing for the weather with continued snow fall since last night.

Area crews have been monitoring roads, addressing slide-offs, and adding salt accident scenes. Starting early this morning, full crews of 20 drivers from the county road department are covering more than 600 miles of road across the county.

Steuben County Emergency Management Director Randi Brown is reminding everyone to “please be smart through this winter storm”. Brown added that black ice could be out on the roads and even worse, black ice deceptively covered by snow.
