WHITE PIGEON – Virtual learning will continue for White Pigeon Community Schools until early January.
In a message on the White Pigeon Schools website, Superintendent Jon Keyer and Associate Superintendent Carrie Erlandson say that since March, they have had numerous students, staff and families who have had to deal with COVID-19. Over the last few weeks, those numbers have increased around the school district.
Due to the large number of cases, Keyer and Erlandson say that in consulting with the White Pigeon Board of Education, they have made the difficult decision that K-12 classes will remain virtual until January 4, 2021.
When students return on that date, the School District will resume the schedule they have used this year. That means everyday classes for Elementary students and a hybrid schedule for Middle School and High School students. Students who are learning at home will remain doing that.
Updates will be posted on the White Pigeon Schools website and Facebook page.
