ANGOLA - The opening of a COVID-19 testing site in Steuben County is set to take place at the end of this month.
The city of Angola’s Commons Hall in Commons Park is being prepped to host the test site. Commons Hall is the former Odd Fellows Lodge building at the corner of John and Water streets.
Angola is using $18,000 in Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act funds to upgrade the location in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The Commons Hall testing site will provide free testing, even for people with health insurance. Offerings will not include rapid results, with results likely taking 2-5 days.
