CARLISLE, IN - Recently, Wabash Valley Correctional Facility staff were served biscuits and gravy in appreciation for their hard work. Warden Frank Vanihel said, "The staff are the backbone of WVCF. We could not accomplish all that we do in a day if it were not for their dedication to the mission of the Indiana Department of Correction." Warden Vanihel went on to state, "Each person plays an integral role in the Facility's success."
The IDOC Mission reads as follows. We promote public safety by providing meaningful, effective opportunities for successful re-entry. WVCF staff work within the realms of safety and security to ensure offenders are provided a meaningful incarceration that allows them to obtain the skills necessary to be successful upon release.
