The LaGrange County Sheriff's Department handled a fight and a drunk driving incident over the weekend.
Deputies were called out at 5:38 PM Saturday to a report of two men fighting at the public access site at Nasby Dam, located at 5500 East 300 North. An investigation resulted in the arrest of 30 year old Adam Edmondson and 21 year old Wesley Wright, both of LaPorte. Both men were charged with battery.
Then at 6:14 PM Sunday, Deputies were advised of a vehicle crash at 8933 East 300 North. During the investigation, it was determined the driver, 27 year old Ashton Sandhal of Bronson, was believed to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Sandhal was cleared at the scene by Parkview Medics, and then transported to the LaGrange County Jail for a certified breath test. The results showed Sandhal's blood alcohol level was .136.
He was booked on a charge of operation of a vehicle while intoxicated.
