Police responded to the scene just after 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night on reports of a crash where investigators say a motorcyclist died on U.S. 33 near the intersection with Felger Road, southeast of Churubusco.
Officers at the scene told reporters that the motorcycle was attempting to turn into a driveway when it struck a vehicle.
The driver of the motorcycle died in the crash, where preliminary reports indicate that the person was not wearing a helmet. The occupants of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
U.S. 33 was closed in both directions while police investigated, but has since reopened to normal traffic flow.
