Anthem of Indiana and Parkview Health may be parting ways later this year, meaning those who are insured by Anthem would be "out of network" when they use services offered by the local health care giant.
A late April deadline looms in the stalemate between the two companies. If a deal is not reached, Anthem-insured patients would likely begin paying more for treatment at Parkview locations.
Both sides are communicating regularly in an effort to reach an agreement prior to the deadline of April 29. It is important to note that at this time there is no change in our network or in our members’ access to care from Parkview Health.”
On its website, Parkview Health posted what it calls "Important Information for Patients with Anthem Health Insurance."
The company said it is " deeply disappointed that Anthem is jeopardizing patients’ access to our team of caregivers, and we are actively working to reach a solution that will protect patients."
