A fire In Auburn Monday Morning caused heavy damage to a residence on State Route 8.
It happened around 7:30 A.M. Monday, where Firefighters were called to 4437 State Route 8 in Auburn where crews arrived to find a two story house with heavy flames coming from the second floor and rear of the home.
Early reports indicated that someone was still inside the home, but after a search by firefighters it was confirmed that no one was still inside. The home's owner had already escaped.
Fortunately, crews brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes and remained on scene to extinguish any other flare ups that may occur. After rending the situation completed, crews returned to base shortly after 10:30 A.M.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Auburn Fire Department.
