On Wednesday morning shortly after 9:31 A.M., Ohio State Highway Patrol officers were called to the scene of Paulding County Line Road east of Coffin Road in Deleware Township in Defiance County where a vehicle was indeed in a ditch with an unresponsive driver.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a 2006 Ford Explorer which was driven by 42-year-old Stephanie Hull of Paulding, Ohio. The vehicle then struck several trees before finally coming to rest down in the Maumee River bank. Hull was pronounced dead at the scene by Deleware Township EMS.
Assisting at the scene were Paulding County Sheriff's office, Defiance County Sheriff's office, Deleware Township Fire/EMS, and the Defiance County Coroner's office.
