Hickman Wins Mayoral Election To Lead Angola For Four More Years
News rang out just after 7 P.M. Tuesday Night that Angola will see four more years of leadership from a man who has held the title since 2001 as Democrat Richard Hickman celebrated upon hearing the news at his campaign headquarters in Angola's town square.
Hickman joined by several members of his family, supports, and countless others all celebrated the victory as he defeated Republican Challenger, Joe Hysong by a final vote of 834 to 641. As Hickman heard the news, he was exstatic about one more term to keep the momentum going for the city that it has seen during his tenure.
As for Hysong, while having disappointment in the loss he was one of the first people in the door at Hickman's headquarters to congratulate the Mayor on winning another term.
Hickman has held the position of Mayor in Angola, since 2001.
