It was announced late last week that authorities in Ohio say four sheriff’s officers will not face any charges in the fatal shooting of a man who stole a semi-trailer cab and threatened to run over people during a two-county chase.

Prosecutors say a Van Wert County grand jury this past week decided against filing charges, and the four officers involved in the case returned to work this past Friday.

The incident occurred back in September, where 46-year-old Terry Pierce, Jr. of Spencerville repeatedly told authorities that he would not pull over after hi-jacking the semi-trailer cab and would "kill anyone" in his way and threatened to hit a school bus.

Deputies fatally shot Pierce after he drove the wrong way on a highway towards oncoming traffic.
