North Woods Coffee Company, local treasure in downtown Coldwater, will be open for business once again starting 7:00 a.m. on Monday, October 21. New owners Lisa Linville and Kim Neitzka will reopen the establishment at 34 West Chicago Street with a new focus on community connections and local and Michigan-made products.
According to the new owners, customers will be welcomed into a relaxing environment where they can enjoy a wide variety of sandwiches, coffees, and baked goods. Customers will be encouraged to share time with friends and family, enjoy a morning to themselves, or get to know someone new. In addition to devoting retail space to local artists and artisans, North Woods Coffee Company will feature a wall of shelves dedicated to an informal book exchange and offer a special seating area for children.
October 21 will be the first reopening of the business since it closed in 2018 after more than 20 years of service to the community. Residents and visitors alike have been eagerly waiting for the business to re-emerge and restore the local tradition of coffee and camaraderie in downtown Coldwater. The new owners are energetic, community-focused, and equally excited to be part of the business’s renaissance.
The North Woods Coffee Co. will have regular operating hours Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In addition to their official opening on October 21, there will be a ribbon cutting and Grand Opening held Thursday, October 24 at 9:00 a.m.
