On September 7th, at approximately 11:39 pm, an Officer with the LaGrange Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction in the area of Hawpatch Street and Fenn Street.
During the course of the investigation, LaGrange Police K9 “Jax” alerted to the exterior of the vehicle. During a probable cause search, Officers located Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Hypodermic Needles, and Drug Paraphernalia.
The occupants of the vehicle were identified as Lashonda Wilcox of Kendallville, and James Handshoe of Avilla. Handshoe and Wilcox were transported to the LaGrange County Jail on charges of: Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony), Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor, Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor, and possession of Hypodermic needles, a Level 6 Felony.
Their trial dates are yet to be determined.
