Two people have been arrested following an investigation into the break in and theft of items from some Coldwater storage units. In a media release, Branch County Undersheriff Keith Eichler his department was called to the Shaftmaster U-Store-N-Lock storage units on North Angola Road Tuesday afternoon.
They discovered that some of the units had been broken into. According to Eichler, his department issued an alert for a possible suspect vehicle that was on the north side of Coldwater. Deputies along with the Coldwater Police Department spotted the vehicle on Marshall Road and stopped it.
With the assistance of the Michigan State Police, the vehicle was searched and officers found stolen property from the Shaftmaster storage units. A 44 year old man and a 36 year old women, both from Indiana, were taken into custody and transported to the Branch County Jail.
