Monday, February 6, 2023

INDIANAPOLIS - According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement agency, there have been multiple incidents involving people falling through the ice in northern Indiana.

DNR officials responded to several incidents on Sunday that were minor, but could have been more serious.

The DNR advises that icy conditions are going to continue to deteriorate and weaken as the weather gets warmer. Area community members and visitors to the Hoosier state should remain off of ice located over a body of water.

Officials did confirm that all reported cases of people falling through the ice have resulted in successful rescues.
