Trine Women’s Golf Ties for Team Championship at Adrian Invitational

The Trine University women's golf team finished as co-champions at the Adrian (MI) College Fall Invitational at Lenawee Country Club in Adrian, MI.

Junior Jenna Doumont led the way individually for the Thunder with a single-round total of 84 strokes on the par 71, 5,180-yard course layout and placed in a tie for second overall among a field of 42 players.

Sophomore Maire Sullivan had the second lowest score on the team at 86 strokes to place in a tie for fifth place. Senior Olivia Phillips also recorded a top-10 finish with a round of 89 strokes to place eighth.

Junior Karlee Fackler and sophomore Lily Williamson both carded rounds of 92 strokes to tie for 13th place to round out the eligible individual team scores.

Sophomore Reagan Guthrie competed as an individual and navigated the course with a score of 96 strokes which put her in a tie for 26th.

Trine is slated to travel to East Lansing, Mich. to take part in a second single-day event of the season hosted by Olivet (MI) College on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Forest Hills Golf Course. The round is set to start at 1 p.m..
