An Otsego, Michigan woman had to be resuscitated after becoming pinned between her car and a toll booth on the Toll Road in Hammond Saturday evening.
The woman became pinned after opening her door and trying to pick up her debit card. The car lurched forward and pinned her against the booth. Others tried to help her but her doors were locked. Two people were able to get the passengers window down and placed the transmission in park to keep it from rolling farther forward.
Trooper Alaa Hamed arrived and found the woman with no pulse. He had the bystanders hold the woman while he attempted to slowly move the vehicle.
The woman was freed but had no vital signs. Trooper Hamed connected his automated external defibrillator to the woman and the AED fired twice and resuscitated the woman who was then taken to a hospital by medics.
