The Board of Public Works and Safety heard an update from Wastewater Superintendent Williams regarding the sanitary sewer in the 700 block of South Wayne Street.
The failing sewer lateral serves three homes and is effecting five properties along way South Wayne St. north of Gilbert Street. Superintendent Craig Williams gave the board six options to action to take moving forward. The board will review the options and reach out to effected property owners to figure out the speediest and most cost effective solution.
The Board of Public Works and Safety will meet again on Monday, January 7 2019 at 6:30 pm but will likely hold a special meeting to resolve the South Wayne Street sanitary sewer problem.
