A wet wintery mix has caused several slid offs and even some car accidents in the tri-state area throughout last night and this morning.
Roads remain wet and slick this morning, with some black ice on several area roads. Be sure to give yourself extra time this morning and drive carefully. In addition, increase following distances and allow extra time to stop while driving.
We do have wind added to the cold wet weather this morning of around 20 mph and gusts up to 35 mph, which has sent the wind chill in some areas as low as the single digits. We will see a break in the wind by midday.
As the day moves on you can expect some scattered snow showers, cloudy skies, and very cold temperatures with a high around 32 and a low of 23.
