Vehicle Pursuit for Parole Warrant Leads to Additional Charges

On Thursday afternoon the Ashley Police Department was requested by the Indiana Department of Corrections to assist in apprehending Kyle T Brady, age 33 of Ashley, on a parole warrant.
Authorities quickly located Brady driving his vehicle, at which time he fled officers. A chase ensued that involved a length of roughly 5 miles at speeds well over 100 miles per hour before Brady stopped his vehicle, and then allegedly fled on foot.
Brady was apprehended shortly thereafter when he attempted to flag down a vehicle to assist him. Unbeknownst to him, the vehicle was occupied by separate parole agents who happened to be in the area.
A search warrant was then executed at his house on West Garfield Street in Ashley where police discovered of multiple drug related items.
Brady was arrested on three level 6 felonies that included; Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Marijuana, over 30 grams with a previous conviction. Authorities also charged him with a Level 5 felony Dealing Marijuana, over 30 grams with a previous conviction, as well as two Misdemeanor charges.
Assisting agencies include the Indiana State Police, Hamilton Police Department, Angola City Police Department, Steuben County Sheriff's Office, Orland Police Department, DeKalb County Sheriff's Department, and the Indiana Department of Corrections.
