The first of three suspects in a Ligonier double murder case was sentenced Wednesday in Noble Superior Court 1.
31-year-old Tiffani Cox of Ligonier was sentenced to serve 8 years of a 14 year sentence to the Department of Corrections by Judge Robert Kirsch.
Cox accepted a plea deal in which she pleaded guilty to aiding in attempted robbery while armed with a deadly weapon. Two other counts of aiding, inducing or causing an offense were dismissed by prosecutors.
Cox set up the meeting with Justin Adams and Amanda Feldstein at the Riverside Villa Apartments in Ligonier in early March under the guise of dealing some methamphetamine but intended to steal an expensive designer purse.
Adams and Feldstein were allegedly gunned down by Michael Johnson of Fort Wayne who was with Cox and Kyra Frost of Fort Wayne.
Frost is currently out on bond awaiting trial. Johnson is scheduled to stand trial December 10th. A final pre-trial conference is set for November 13th.
