Ohio Man Arrested for OWI and Cocaine On Toll Road

A traffic stop on the Indiana Toll Road lead to the arrest of an Ohio man for operating while intoxicated and cocaine charges early Wednesday morning.
An Indiana State Police Trooper stopped a car for several moving violations as it traveled eastbound on the Indiana Toll Road just after 1 a.m.. The stop was made near the 117 mile marker, roughly four miles west of the Howe/LaGrange exit.
According to the ISP, the driver, 26 year old Franciso Gallardo Cortes, of Cleveland, OH, was reportedly found to be one and a half times the legal limit of .08% B.A.C.
Further investigation resulted in the discovery of approximately 63 grams of suspected cocaine, digital scales, and $564.00 in cash.
Gallardo Cortes was arrested for preliminary charges of Dealing Cocaine, Level 2 Felony, Operating While Intoxicated-Endangerment, A-Misdemeanor, Operating While Intoxicated C-Misdemeanor, and Operator Never Licensed, C-Misdemeanor. He was taken to the LaGrange County Jail.
