The Steuben County Sheriff’s Deputies and other agencies responded to a report of a personal injury accident at the intersection of State Road 120 and County Road 600 East just before 10 p.m. Saturday night.
First units on the scene found a 2004 Pontiac and a 2013 Ford F150 that had been involved in a traffic accident. Emergency response units found the occupants of the Ford F150 pinned in the vehicle. Those individuals have been identified as Oliver Winter, age 18 of Coldwater, MI who was driving, and his passenger, Clarissa Sheppard, age 17 of Coldwater, MI.
Investigative reports by the Steuben County Sheriff's Department indicate that Winter was traveling north bound on County Road 600 East when he failed to yield the right of way of the east bound Pontiac driven by Christopher Hahn, age 20 of Defiance, OH.
As Winter crossed the intersection, his truck was struck by Hahn's Popntiac.
