On Monday, officers with the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop at 5865 South 1100 East in LaGrange where investigation revealed the occupants of the vehicle displayed signs of illegal activity which prompted officers to call for a K9.
The K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle, which resulted in a search of the vehicle. During the search multiple items of paraphernalia were located in the rear of the vehicle.
Hugh H. Easterday of LaGrange, Indiana dropped a clear baggy containing a white crystal-like substance on the ground, which he later admitted to possessing the controlled substance and paraphernalia. Easterday was arrested and booked into the LaGrange County Jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Paraphernalia.
