A one vehicle crash in Branch County's Quincy Township killed the driver. Michigan State Police say 20 year old Preston Glenn Sarles was driving north on Ray-Quincy Road north of Wildwood Road on Tuesday. Sarles was passing another vehicle when he lost control of his own automobile, and struck a power pole.

Sarles was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation. The road was closed for several hours as State Police accident investigators went over the area.
Assisting at the scene were the Quincy Fire Department, Branch County Victim Services and Life Care Ambulance.
