Free COVID-19 testing will be done this weekend in Sturgis.
The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is partnering with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the Michigan State Police and the National Guard to offer the free tests.
The drive thru testing will be at the Doyle Community Center, 310 North Franks Avenue. There will also be a walk up testing site at the St. Joseph County Commission On Aging's Sturgis Enrichment Center, located at 306 North Franks Avenue. All testing will be done on a first come, first served basis from 11 AM until 5 PM on Saturday and then from 12 PM until 5 PM on Sunday.
Individuals seeking a free test are asked to bring ID. Insurance is not required, and you will not be asked to show an insurance card. Tests can only be done on individuals 18 or older, and you must be a Michigan resident.
The CHA would like to acknowledge and thank the many local community
agencies, the City of Sturgis and St. Joseph County government departments and individuals that are volunteering their space and time to make this opportunity available.
