Ohio COVID-19 Cases Climb; Local Tri-State Numbers

COLUMBUS, Ohio - According to the Ohio Department of Health’s latest report on Sunday, Ohio’s coronavirus cases have climbed to 1,653; and 29 deaths. The case total was up 18% from 1,406 cases reported on Saturday.

Ohio Health Director Dr. Amy Acton, has continued to repeatedly caution that the totals are understated saying “testing is so, so limited”. Governor Mike DeWine reported 24,376 tests have been conducted in the buckeye state.

Here in the tri-state area, the Fulton County Health Department reported their first two residents who tested positive for coronavirus on Friday. In Indiana, Steuben County officials reported Saturday their first resident who tested positive. Meanwhile, Michigan’s Hillsdale County has reported their first death due to COVID-19.
