It was announced on Thursday evening that trash and recycling rates within the city of Auburn will increase in 2020. Beginning in January, the monthly trash and recycling rate will increase from $11.42 to $12.59 in a move that was approved by the Auburn Board of Public Works in Safety as they approved a new two-year contract with Republic Services.
The new agreement extends Auburn's current agreement with Republic Services which has been in place for the last four years.
