Four-Wheeler Pursuit Leads To Arrest In LaGrange County
Wednesday, October 16, 2019

On Tuesday evening at approximately 7:40 PM, deputies with the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a green Honda four-wheeler after it almost struck a LaGrange County Deputy head on.

Deputies then engaged in a vehicle pursuit of the four-wheeler, which went south through a bean field in the 6500 block of County Road 700 South.

The four-wheeler later became stuck in a swampy area in the field and the driver, who was later identified as Jacob Nathaniel Arnold, fled on foot south through the field into a wooded area. Arnold was captured a short time later with the aid of a drone from Ligonier Police Department.

Arnold was treated and released by Hospital Staff at Parkview LaGrange for minor cuts and scrapes, and was then transported to the LaGrange County Jail on Charges of Resisting Law Enforcement with a motor vehicle, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Driving While Suspended Prior, OWI Prior, OWI by Controlled Substance, and also had a Warrant out of Noble County.
